Casa Silencio is an adults-only boutique hotel and luxury retreat immersed in the landscapes of Oaxaca. Surrounded by agave fields and mountain views, the property brings together design, gastronomy, mezcal, and local culture to create a stay that goes beyond the room. From a guided journey through the mezcal-making process and a tasting of Special Edition Mezcals to locally inspired dining and time to explore the territory, each element offers an opportunity to experience Oaxaca through its flavors, traditions, and surroundings.
Your stay begins with a guided journey through the traditional mezcal-making process. The experience takes you through the palenque and its production areas, including the ovens, tahona wheel, fermentation, and distillation, offering an intimate look at the craft and traditions behind this emblematic Oaxacan spirit.
The journey continues in the private tasting room, where Special Edition Mezcals are presented alongside five signature bites created by Chef Rodolfo Castellanos, winner of Top Chef Mexico. Inspired by indigenous Oaxacan cuisine, the bites reinterpret local ingredients and traditional flavors through a contemporary culinary approach.
SIX UNIQUE SUITES
Following the tasting, the experience continues with a five-course sunset dinner prepared by Chef José Carlos Acosta and served at Casa Silencio’s iconic stone table.
The indoor-outdoor dining space opens toward the surrounding mountains and valleys, allowing the landscape to become part of the evening. Crafted from a single 17-ton slab of hand-cut basalt, the stone table extends from the interior dining area toward the exterior, creating a distinctive setting for a dinner inspired by the flavors and ingredients of Oaxaca.
Each of the six suites offers a distinct interpretation of Casa Silencio, combining natural materials, locally crafted pieces, art, textiles, and furniture created in collaboration with Oaxacan artisans and emerging artists. Each space has its own character while maintaining the aesthetic and atmosphere that define the property.
Designed as private retreats within the landscape, the suites offer a place to rest, take in the surroundings, and experience the slower rhythm of Casa Silencio. Every detail, from handcrafted elements to carefully selected furnishings, reflects a connection to Oaxaca and the people who shape its creative culture.
